X-Factor style competitions comes to Ipswich

The Karaeoke finalistsThe John Bull pub in Ipswich hosted the final of the fundraising “X Factor” style karaoke competition on Friday 23rd May.

A panel of judges witnessed an array of previous heat winner’s battle it out to become the first winner. Cash prizes were up for grabs and the competitors all had their unique style of performing. From the rock chick Laura Goodchild, the crooning of Damien Ribbons or the down right silly Proclaimers impersonators the night was a massive hit.

The winner on the night was the country and western singing sensation Wayne Fosdick followed by Abba Flabba and Simon Marx.

£690.00 was raised in total and will be split between the East Anglia Children’s Hospice and the Kenyan School Fund.

Faye Hendin from the Kenyan School Fund said that “The night was a combination of fantastic community spirit and fun. The entire team would like to thank all the local businesses who supported the event. All money raised on the night will allow others to lead better lives”.
