CAUTION HORSES Based in Suffolk, CAUTION HORSES are a 4 piece original rock/pop outfit who deliver songs of stunning quality both from a writing and performance point of view. Their first CD "skywire" was voted best CD in the area on its release, and their second offering "Accidental Music" was released on 28^th April 07.The new album promises great things based on the strength of the double A side single released at the end of last year. "Falling in Love Without the Pain" and "24 Hours" have both received significant local airplay and are the opening two tracks. The other 9 tracks are equally potent. This is the year of the HORSE. CAUTION HORSES are… Andy Heasman – acoustic guitar and vocals Chris Ratcliffe - Bass Steve Webster – Drums David Baalham – lead guitar and vocals HeyZuuz HeyZuuz are a trio of musicians from Norfolk and Suffolk. Originally starting out as a duo, J and Abi met when competing against each other in a Battle of the Bands at UEA. With J living in Suffolk and Abi in Norfolk, they had to begin sending guitar parts and vocals over the internet, adding things on and sending them back. They soon realised the ideas they had sounded pretty good, and started to meet up on a regular basis. Then, Abi's friend James came along one day with his cajon and jammed with Abi and J. It all sounded so good that James was asked to join and the band was formed. Since then, HeyZuuz have played a lot of gigs in and around the Norfolk and Suffolk area, always receiving incredibly supportive feedback about all aspects of their performances. Nicky Fingers "You could say that Nick has been around for a while ......He has been DJ'ing since 1992 when he started playing hardcore warehouse music. This has lead him to play at some of the most respected clubs both home and abroad. An amazing C.V such as a residency at The Aquarium in London to clubs in Ibiza, Manchester, Brighton the list goes on and on. Mister Christopher Mister Christopher writes songs. Mister Christopher writes songs about things that happened; things that should’ve happened; things he wished had happened; and things that should never have happened. Sometimes mister Christopher sings songs about made up things that never happened at all...with vocals that range between soft sweetness and raging emotion accompanied by stripped down acoustic guitar, mister Christopher’s songs are of love, loss, hope and comfort. Intelligent lyrics and melodies are the main feature of Mister Christopher’s 2007 debut, recorded on a houseboat at Spontin Studios. Mister Christopher, like all music, is best enjoyed live. He regularly plays in London, Cambridge, Norfolk and Suffolk, from festivals to house shows Fingersmith In a world where so many young bands reach for the guitar as the default instrument, Fingersmith put the piano back in centre stage. A virtuosic power trio taking their cue from the rocking tradition of Little Richard and early Elton and stirring in the wry song craft of Randy Newman with a bad attitude borne of second-generation punk, Fingersmith are unique on today’s scene. Passionate, musical and ambitious, Fingersmith have got the heart, the energy, the tunes and they're in for the long haul Saint or Sinner Saint or Sinner are two up and coming Dj’s from the Ipswich area. The Dj-in double act first met at Ipswich Art College in '94, where they perfected the art of being very bad at life drawing. They also worked on creating constructions that would stop eggs breaking when thrown off balconies, with very little effect. In-between this array of learning the two inspiring artist developed a love of “Funky House”. “We aim to stay true to the dance floor and stay focused on our passions of house music and never defer from the ultimate buzz that the music provided to an informed crowd”. Pikey Esquire Pikey Esquire is a phenomenal talent. The Ipswich based lad has the ability to create sounds in a beat box style that are truly room stopping. Pikey has been beat boxing since 2003 and has become a master of his field. He has entered competitions and performed all over the country and at present is recording his first album. This lad will entertain all ages and inspire any up and coming performer. Don't Dance on Glass Don't Dance on Glass formed in January 2007 after Ross, Chris and their original bassist met at Colchester 6th Form College and started writing energetic funk/ rock tunes. They quickly built a set list for their 1st gig in Saxmundham, but things looked to go wrong when the original bassist quit five days before the gig. However undeterred Ross and Chris decided to do a 'White Stripes' and played the gig anyway to a great reception. They quickly found a bassist in Joe. Whose funky, dancy bass lines added more energy to their sound. Since then Chris, Ross and Joe have quickly amassed a fan base and gig list including playing their first London gig in Camden after only seven gigs, and playing their first local festival; getting the crowd to their feet dancing. Don't Dance on Glass are constantly working on improving their live sound, combining sexy funk guitar riffs, dancy bass-lines and energetic groovy drums to get people dancing. It holds an individuality that sets her apart from many of her peers. Along with Hannah's ability to play acoustic, pop and folk rock, she is with out any doubt one of the countries leading new talents. The Bronsons The Bronsons are a 4-piece rock band consisting of Jimi Kerry, Will Hessey, Philip Bradbrook and John Bicknell. All brought up on the classic rock styles of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones, along with a love of old Charles Bronson movies The Bronsons decided to developed their skills and form a band. Their dedication was persistent and shortly realised they had discovered something special. The first major task was to build up a repertoire of cover songs to begin gigging, with their first gig being at the popular Ipswich pub The Steamboat Tavern. Following the success of their early gigs, and with ever growing confidence in their abilities, The Bronsons then made the move to writing their own original songs. This new material has been well received wherever they’ve played. They have since moved further a field, performing in London and around the east of England at venues ranging from local pubs to large outdoor events. She has 3 children and is married to Mark, her childhood sweat heart.Stacey has always loved music and had a passion for it from an early age, although she has never actually been taught how to play. "I've just had the ability to pick instruments up and play music by ear” Stacey says. She started to sing and play live at open mic nights and gigs around the Ipswich area. Life inspires her to write. She loves to write songs about people, people who are having troubles in their life, people who have touched her emotions in some way, from sad and happy memories from her past. Stacey is concentrating on playing her songs around Ipswich and gaining more experience and confidence every day! She loves to hear other musicians play too and share in the experience. Nasty Rabbits Nasty Rabbits are 2 parts Essex, 1 part London & 1 part Oklahoma USA. They formed in early ’07 to sing songs about love and drunken regret. Nasty Rabbits probably don’t fit into any specific musical genre (mainly because they have never bothered to decide upon one), instead stirring their rock-punk-country-indie-pop leanings together to make something that is equally melodic, eclectic & energetic. If pushed, they’d probably call it 'Hutch-Core', but what do they know. Make your own mind up. Having played around Essex and London this year already, the Rabbits are delighted to be making their Suffolk debut in support of the Saint Genesius charity event. Beeba Carl Beat aka Beeba is a musician and artist. He has been recording and manipulating sounds in his present laboratory for about seven years and has played guitar for sixteen years. He’s driven by a love of sound manipulation, harmony and distortion, making his sounds difficult to categorise. Beeba’s inspirations are sounds in general as he believes that nobody actually ‘writes’ music, instead he feels that we are simply vessels through which sounds and creative ideas are ingested, blended, nurtured and ultimately dispersed. Beeba has worked on various multi media projects, soundtracks and assorted other ventures. His aim is to attempt to replicate the sounds which amalgamate in his head, something which he feels he is only now beginning to scratch the surface of ... Princess Knickers "As the petite burlesque stripper extraordinaire, Princess Knickers has been delighting, titillating and shocking audiences with her striptease act for three years.
